Responsibilities and Accomplishments by Role

Infection Prevention Manager

HCA EFD

  • Developed and implemented infection control processes for the hospital, which resulted in the elevation of hospital ranking within the company from 161 to top 20. 

  • Aided in developing the “Early Tracheostomy of the COVID-19 patient” protocols to include PPE Dawning and Doffing, bedside procedural setup, and post-care requirements with the multidisciplinary COVID response team. 

  • Developed a Risk Assessment plan for the hospital in accordance with the NHSN requirements. 

  • Reviewed all hospital-acquired infections and developed strategies to aid in the reduction. 

  • Led the effort in reducing invasive line utilization within the hospital by developing a process to monitor, trend, and review need requirements by the leaders of each nursing department.

  • Reviewed surgical protocols for Colorectal surgeries and led the team who revised the optimization process for the patients before the procedure.

Neuroscience Program Coordinator

  • Aided in reducing acute stroke treatment times from 62 min to 42 min by collaborating with multidisciplinary leadership to streamline the process in Emergency Department and inpatient settings.
